Excitement, creativity and solar power at the Solar Racing Cup<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ELHA team from Franz-Stock-Realschule competed with excitement and pride in the Solar Racing Cup in the Westfalen Weser car park in Herford. After several months of intensive preparation and construction, they presented their new speedster to the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Solar Racing Cup is much more than just a race. It is about technical innovation, creative design and teamwork. An expert jury assessed every detail of the solar racers, from technical creativity and craftsmanship to visual design. The technical documentation and co-operation with partner companies also played a decisive role in the assessment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ELHA team has won the 2024 Technology Award of the Association of German Engineers VDI OWL for technical creativity and craftsmanship. Their innovative concept of vividly presenting the racer's electronics in a vertically mounted display case on the back of the driver's seat impressed the jury across the board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This project was not only an opportunity for our team of students to demonstrate their technical skills, but also a valuable experience in terms of teamwork and career orientation. Under the guidance of our employees and trainees, they were not only able to realise the construction of the solar bolides, but also gained an insight into various professional activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are proud that our team came third in the race and congratulate all participants on their achievements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
