This machine was designed for machining lorry brake caliper housings in one clamping position. Different workpiece variants can be machined on the same clamping fixtures, as the clamping points are arranged identically for all workpiece variants.
For complex machining, the machine was equipped with a swivelling bridge (A-axis), which is driven on both sides by Ø 500 mm torque motors. Two Ø 500 mm swivelling tables (B axes) are mounted on the swivel bridge, which are also driven by torque motors. All rotary axes are equipped with hydraulic clamping.
The two work units can be moved completely independently of each other - this means that tool lengths and tool diameters can be corrected in all three axes. The machine is also equipped with an 80-position pick-up tool magazine. Several drilling heads and milling heads can be accommodated in the magazine.
