We mourn the loss of our long-standing owner Hartwig Liemke
On 7 January 2020, our long-standing owner Hartwig Liemke passed away at the age of 82. Through his extraordinary entrepreneurial and social commitment, he and his family shaped his parents' business into a globally expanding company in the machine tool industry.
For decades, he led the company with his courage and vision, as well as his everlasting down-to-earth attitude. His open-mindedness towards people of all cultures and attitudes characterised his actions. He always had an open ear for his employees and always focussed on them as people. With his special sense of humour, Hartwig Liemke provided the necessary composure and optimism for the work in his life's work. With his passing, we have lost an exceptional person whose ideas and commitment have left a lasting mark on the image of the company both nationally and internationally.
We will remember him fondly and gratefully.
